word on the street (the web) is that Catherine really lit it up playing the pedal steel guitar while sitting in with the Futurebirds in Cleveland on 6-4-11. although there appears to be no recording, and people are saying they didnt really see any tapers. the one picture i saw was taken at a funny angle, looks like the pedal steel is on the opposite side of the stage as where it was in Asbury Park, so I am curious if there were 2 pedal steels (Cat and Futurebird together) or just Cat using his. but im more curious to just hear it.

the next and last show (for now) with the Futurebirds is Wed in Charlottesville, Virginia. if ANYONE is reading this that is going, or taping, or knows someone going that might know someone taping, or any potential scenario that would result in someone taping and sharing the Futurbirds set, if there is even a chance she will play pedal w them again...PLEASE someone get there early and record it. dont be shy, please- if u live down that way talk it up and whether she sits in or not lets hear the Futurebirds Bonnaroo Buzz Tour closer. it will be worthy i am positive!

here is the Futurebirds set from Pigsa Brewing Co. no Cat, but it's in the Carolina so 2 points for that. only 7 downloads so far so i hope a bunch of u DL it and let us know what u think. especially if you were not able to catch the Bonnaroo Buzz Tour live and in the flesh...check these guys out. thanks again to Allyn for recording and sharing. maybe you are going to Charlottesville ;)?

She sat next to the pedal steel player (well really just kneeling, wearing a t-shirt, jeans and flipflops) at the Macon show. I guess she kneeled next to him for a couple of songs. I may have a picture, will look and see.
Boy them boys in Futurebird turn it up a notch don't they?

yeah theyre pretty nasty and the pedal steel player is REALLY smokin. i cant really tell him apart from John Kean or John Graboff he is pretty nasty in all seriousness. and i doubt he has half the toys or whatever of those other guys.

in the pic i saw it was Cat sitting there playing the pedal steel by herself. i was wondering since it is tucked behind Grace's organ if there was a second pedal steel on the opposite side of the stage, but i doubt it. the pedal steel player prob was playing banjo or took a breather.

i hate that i keep calling him "the pedal steel player" but i cant find their names anywhere, just the lead singer Carter King. even their own website. not a mention of the guys names, or else maybe im missing something big (wouldnt be the first time)

this is what it says on facebook:

Genre
psychedelic country

Members
Paytonius Bradford: cognition cap
D WAHLMACK: elevated aquatic jumping device
C W " Mr. Moccasin" King: grease-stained monkey wrench
"Regulaytah" Thomas Johnson: plays the field
B MAH ! ! ! : THE J.O. BUD NOOO! NOOO!
Dahnnis Love: seated pick axe

so im thinking the pedal player is maybe Dahnnis Love but who knows. Mark not sure exactly what u saw, but the one vauge report i got from Cleveland was that she really went to town on the thing. LUCKY those of u that saw Cat rip it up!
