Martyrs Show (Chicago) - June 18th

The June 18th show at Martyrs is sold out and I'm in need of 2 tickets. Last time the band was to play at Martyrs, Grace was sick with the flu and the band had to cancel. The show was still great because Blues and Lasers was an excellent substitute. If anyone has a couple of extra tickets or is unable to make the show, please let me know.

The new album is excellent and the band sounds fantastic.

Sorry Matt but it doesn't look like there are any even on craigslist. I know in the past I've been able to get into shows at the door at Martyrs even when they've been listed as sold out but obviously don't quote me on that. Really looking forward to the show on Friday. I'm thinking this might be the last go around for this small of a venue.

Be careful what you wish for...

I really will be happy for these hard working folks. I am not so happy for me. I am always searching out music to see at small venues, and avoid $100 tickets in arenas. I just discovered the new GPN a year ago, and have been to just 4 shows. They cancelled out on me a couple weeks ago at the Roxy and still have not rescheduled as they said they would. I still plan on traveling east for a couple more shows this summer, but the "good old days" may be over. I am just glad for the opportunity to experience this great band up close and "in person" for a brief time.
The value of a band to a fan is not their popularity, but the quality and value really. As band the popularity goes up, the value goes down if you like being up close.
