Went to the Red Sox game tonite w/ a buddy of mine, and two new friends we met in Baltimore a couple weeks ago (while down there to see the Sox play). One of these friends occasionally get free tix from her office, and tonite she had 4. My buddy and I were more than happy to fill those seats.

The weather was absolutely perfect. The seats were as good they get, 20 rows behind home plate. The beer was cold. The game was a nail-biter, until the Sox won in the bottom of the 9th on a walk-off home run.

After I dropped my buddy off, I drove home and cranked the 2/11/11 Denver GPN show w/ the windows down and the volume at "11". Not sure if I kept my speed under 90 MPH on the 15 miles I was on the highway, listening to Medicine & Crazy On You.

I believe the word to describe the evening is "exhilarating".

that DOES sound like a perfect summer night! we had one July 26 - at Canandaigua, NY. from a nice noon rain, to perfect afternoon clouds driving across the north side of the Finger Lakes, then meeting Karen in the parking lot before the Furthur show. the weather and temperature could not have been more perfect, the crowd was happy and respectful of each other, the venue was NOT crowded on the lawn (altho I heard it was sold out), and the band was rockin.
one of those nights to remember, that will get us thru a lot of work days.
thanks for sharing!

Now that you mention it, joester, that was my perfect summer night as well. Can't think of another one that comes close. Lots of rain this summer, in the sky and in the heart. But I was free and happy that night - beautiful weather, beautiful venue, thousands of happy people (I, too, noticed how respectful everyone was), great music, new friends - and I do owe it all to you. (Great kettle corn, too, eh?)

Congrats on your perfect night as well, JSJ.
