Joining in to share those thanksgiving thoughts with you all out there.

Do give your loved ones a big hug and enjoy the day!

Yesterday's storm left 10 inches of snow - so it's off to work I go.

This is for you Michael - Snow in the valley and on the mountain (10") makes for a very Happy Snowbird on Thanksgiving.

Love and licks from Heidi too.

Very great day with the family - hope this was a memorable Thanksgiving for everyone else here, too. I'll come out and say that in addition to the fun of following the band, I really am thankful for this board and the people who contribute. Usually informed but open-minded, opinionated but respectful of others - it's great to enjoy the information and dialogue shared here.
At Thanksgiving dinner, discussion turned to asking who has Direct TV, and when someone spoke up, it was promptly decided the rest of us would be hijacking their living room for the 12/03 broadcast. Incidently, that date is also the one year anniversary of the taping of the watershed VH1 Divas show.

Just read this, and found the sentiments quite touching. A song sprang to mind that were I not on annoying cellphone I might attempt paraphrasing. However:

"In short, there's simply not a more congenial spot . . . ."

Thanks for putting it so nicely, expat.

Heh, I just realized the significance of your Profile name. I spent a good chunk of my Tuesday last week traveling Rte. 100 in VT, between Wilmington & Weston (we stayed at the West Dover Inn for 2 nites). We were amazed at the damage that Irene wrought, and the repairs that've been done thus far. Utterly incredible damage, utterly incredible response in 3 months. We were stunned at how many miles of new blacktop we were driving-on. Congrats to all Vermonters for all that you were able to do in such a short time, and continued best wishes.

Hey now! Been a Texas minute since I been here between Thanksgiving and dead computer ... But wanted to say thanks to & for all you groovy people! Also, there is an Irene Benefit CD some friends put together: http://www.vermontirene.com/ $10.00 gets you one and all proceeds go to Irene relief. Taj, Willie, Lowell George (song donated by his son Forrest), appear along with Eames Brothers Band, Elephant Revival, Toft Willingham of Spiritual Rez, Jesse "Memaranda" Miranda, Louie Brown, Last October ... A couple more (been hucking wood all day and I'm tired). A great CD for a great cause ... Make a great Christmas gift! Order through the site or PM me and I will get one out to you. Thanks again for loving music and having great taste!

Thanks for the heads-up on the CD. I might just grab a half-dozen for xmas gifts. Certainly will get one for myself at the very least. I'll also post a link to this on the GP Fan site on Facebook.
