I am sooooo sad today. As a former rock band queen from the 80s (ssshhh don't tell anyone)..... I am feeling this loss! The first song that really made me want to sing is Whitney's "Greatest Love of All." She had an amazing voice. Jennifer Hudson just did an incredible job to honor her on the Grammy's with "I will always love you." I think Whitney made a lot of women want to sing! She had so much confidence as a young performer. And she set the bar so high. Her songs are not easy to sing! Her voice was so unique. :(

It is sad, a great loss of a talent that could have set the bar so high, it would be a standard for the ages.

Also shows how someone can get their head turned by bad association and loose their way. Her life took a downward turn when she let Bobby Brown in her head. Don't know if it's fair to blame it all on him, but she never did thrive by being with him, guess she has to take some responsibility too. Think someone said once one of the saddest things in life is "what could have been," very true for Whitney.

I was very saddened to hear of her passing.
What could have been, what should have been, what now never can be.
Such a bloody waste.
RIP Whitney Houston
