Through relentless touring, smart decisions and a work ethic that would make a horse blush, she and her band of Nocturnals have gone from a solid festival billing to the red carpets of some of the most prestigious events.

Those who credit looks for the success do so at their own peril because while there is no doubt that Grace and the Nocturnals are a beautiful bunch, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow has always been the music that they create.

Really so difficult to explain GPN's appeal to those who are unfamiliar. David Shehi from Honest Tune gets this week's award for getting the point across so well in 200 words or less.

I think this is a beautiful, amazing song. Am I over-rating it or do you all agree? It is a moving song.
On the flip side, I heard the first GPN song ever really that I didn't like. Don't like the lyrics or anything about the song which mentions the turntable and the record. Thought that one missed.

But Stars? My gosh what a song.
Do you agree with me on these 2 songs?

I also am psyched to attend GPN concert in Kansas City. Who's going?

I love Stars now. When I first heard it on the Coachella webcast I thought it was just okay. I guess I just wasn't listening closely to it. I also kinda like the Chesney version on the Super Deluxe Edition CD from Best Buy. Chesney's a good backup singer on that one ;)

I really like Turntable. Sure it's not their strongest song lyrically, but it's catchy and is certainly a crowd pleaser... Though it is awkward listening to it in the car with my parents... but it's a fun song overall and I like it. Really, I like the whole album. It seems stronger than the last and while there are some songs on the last album that I like more, I think this album is more all-around strong. Just my two cents. What do you think?
