I was amazed by Davy Knowles' guitar work when Back Door Slam started getting attention in the US market and still keep track of him as a solo artist. Know there are at least a couple of active fans of DK who have seen him live a few times and who read here.
So whether already interested or getting acquainted, here's a fairly long interview touching on working with Warren Haynes, Peter Frampton, his former bandmates, what's on his iPod, and more . . . plus a little tour he's been tapped to do . . .

Onstage, BDS tore the roof off the joint, delivering ninety minutes of swaggering, swearing, deep seated blues that belied their youthfulness. Davy Knowles sang and played guitar with a passion and voice that transcended his young age, evoking Stevie, Jimi, Muddy and a slew of blues legends.

thanks -
not knowing much about DK+BDS other than what Dana and Amy have told us, that's another great read today.
looking forward with much anticipation to seeing him with the rhythm devils in 19 days w/ Dana and Dick :):)

[why does rhythm always look like it's spelled wrong????]

count Teri and I as 2 new fans of Davy Knowles - that young man (I wanted to say kid) can play his
ass off - and did 2 nights ago in Flagstaff. first of all, it was SO great to see Billy and Mickey on stage together drumming again,
it had been a LONG time since we have seen and heard that. Second - I wasn't sure how the 2 leads of Davy and Keller would work out,
just fine as it turned out. let's call it 2 lead guitars trading off songs, leads and vocals.
Davy just KILLED the version of So Many Roads, and I'm betting each show they do will get beter and better as the band tightens up more.
just go see the Rhythm Devils if they come near to you!

First time on forum. I am probably the oldest Davy Knowles fan in U.S. (62 y.o.) Also I have seen him 18 times in concert beginning in July of 07 until August of 2011. I am sure he gets tired of my old wrinkled face staring up at him like a 14 y.o. schoolgirl...............just the same, I am beyond impressed with this young man and his guitar prowess and a voice that seems to come from elsewhere................he is an old soul. He is a charming, respectful and gracious man that has become a powerful presence in my heart and in the resurrection of REAL music, and REAL songwriting. He is a blend of Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Duane Allman, Jimi Hendrix. Welcome to Davy Knowles!!
