I guess the title says it all. I am from the days of records.. Albums.. :-) I just got your newest from itunes. I am an engineer and i wanted to know if the release on itunes is the same as the cd?

The itunes release is very hard to listen to. The music and songs are great!

The mastering is very very loud. I can understand pumping it up or computer users but for high end audio not. If the mastering is different for the CD I would run out and buy it. Sadly I can't listen to the itunes release. It is very fatiguing. I love the acoustic vids you are doing. Do you have MP3's or flacs of that. i would love to add that to my listening rotation. 'Low Road' is a masterpiece and in it's current form it renders it un-listenable for me. The Allman's did something similar to this on the beacon 40th aniv. release. Again un listenable. Thanks god I taped every night and got the Moogis feeds.

I am sorry if I am offending anyone. These days everything is pumped real loud. No dynamics. I get it for ultra pop. Grace your voice and sultry feel gets lost in the mastering techniques of today.

Thanks for having a forum to say this. I really love the band and have seen you a bunch of times. I will continue to do that but sadly I can't listen to the record.. It hurts.. for real.

Love a

ps i am a very very big fan and only say this because selfishly I want to listen to the music...

There was no additional mastering for itunes. And frankly I couldn't disagree more with your opinion of the mastering. Sorry you're not a fan.

Nate.. I am a big fan :-)

My comments are about how little dynamic range is in the record. Its very popular to make thing loud so they pop out of computer speakers.

The AVG RMS seems high. It is fatiguing for me. that is a personal thing I know but its all I got. Do you have any high res flac versions of the youtube video stuff they did. I would buy a disk worth of that for $20 :-) It has value to me.

I love the band and the music. Grace is a knock out in every way: voice, performance, song writing and presence. Please don't confuse my ears for my opinion of the band...

I meant specifically a fan of the mastering - no worries.
