Why so late to post the island dates?

Nate - Please help me understand why the band would post their island dates so late? I am really upset that because of that, now I can't go this year -- I can't get a reservation at a reasonable rate. It also happens to be the weekend of the annual Antique Show in Nantucket which is why the island and ferries may be booked up more than usual. I am a meeting planner by trade, and I like to plan these things out well in advance. I've made it my one and only vacation for me (without kids) for the last two years. All I can say is --- this sucks, I am extremely frustrated, and I want to cry right now:( I feel like this may be the last time we see them at these smaller venues and I am missing out on something very special!

Also, when you have a chance 2 other things -

First, please ask the band if they would ever consider allowing for soundtrack/karaoke offerings. Pink does it, Susan Tedeschi has done it. I am a former professional singer, and want to do some GPN stuff and introduce more people to their music, but I don't play an instrument, and this would be an option. Sounds hokey, but its a legitimate consideration as they grow in popularity.

Second, on a positive note -- please let the band know that they continue to inspire many - in fact the title of an article I just released to the press was derived from "Colors" and the message it sends inspires and motivates me to continue fighting the good fight www.saveelmridgepark.com. I truly think that Colors could be their biggest hit!

Dates get posted as they are added. These dates couldn't have been posted any earlier because they didn't exist any earlier.

For karaoke, that's a label initiative, not a band initiative. I'm sure it will come with time as the band grows in popularity.

I understand. Thanks for replying Nate, and BTW, I really like this new board and format! Great job! Though we miss Mojo's thisissomewhere.com (I see he is an administrator here - great move!), it is nice to have all consolidated on one board and forum. It looks like the old fancorps site where posse gathered is gone too? I see the Posse is all here, and its wonderful to have this for all of us who look out for each other at the shows. Frame of reference -- My sister and I met you earlier this year (Infinity Hall?) when you and Justin came out and watched (proudly) from the front row for a while.
