First have to thank the Artists Den (http://www.theartistsden.com/) for sending me the last minute invite for the Grace Potter and the Nocturnals stealth concert at the Soutwest Airlines Porch in Bryant Park, NYC this past Friday evening.
Never heard of GPN until the invite. At first I was not going to go, but then decided to and I was so glad that I did. While waiting online, I met many of her devoted fans, they could not have been more kinder. I even ended up hanging out with some of them during and after the concert. What a great bunch of people they were. I thought they all knew each other prior to that night, but was surprised to find out that we had all just met that evening. As one of them said ... only in New York.
Now to the concert ... when the band was doing the soundcheck they were fantastic. It was then that I knew that I was in for something good. GPN was PHENOMENAL! I became an instant fan. OK, yes, she is attractive, highly attractive, but the music, vocals, and lyrics are worthy of mention for they have been sorely missing in todays music. I rarely listen to the radio these days. And the guitar playing ... classic.
Looking forward to seeing her and the band again.
