the new b&l album is simply brilliant. They have such an amazing sound. Benny plays the lead on a bunch of the songs and heped co-write as well. very nicely done!

Huge Blazer fan here. The new album is in constant rotation on the ipod. If anyone has more news on audio archive stuff please let me know. They are my new favorite band for sure. Again real music created by real people. It bleeds pure rock.

Hi, Karen_J. I've noticed on the blogs I've frequented that many Karens prefer to use their name rather than a catchy psuedonym - wonder what sociological similarities that might suggest.

I have only been to one GPN concert, but was supremely fortunate that it was one for which Blues and Lasers was the opening band and for which Bryan Dondero was still the bass player. Got the first B&L cd at that concert and really treasure it for that reason. What I'm hoping for now is the same experience with B&L opening for the new GPN line-up. Hope you get to a show like that as well.

The show I saw was in 2008 at Revolution Hall in Troy, a very small venue -

i knew this guy taped B&L... so effing freaking fired up to listen to this, since walstib's "church mics" caught the GPN set so perfectly.
