Totally new here and getting used to this site.
Going to see the show tonight in Covington - we are driving about 2 1/2 hours to get there. I'm so thrilled to see them live!!! It will be our first time, but not our last!
Should be working - instead on youtube listening and watching the band! :)
welcome emmyvera and enjoy the show! please return here soon after and share your thoughts with us.
u will be rewarded for both your driving as well as utubing it on the clock, for sure!

Just got back from the show, and in typical GPN fashion, it was amazing! Got my hands on the setlist after the show, only one minor change ... Oasis in, Stop The Bus out. Stop The Bus was supposed to the close the main set after Paris. I did see a guy holding a tripod after the show. Not sure if he was a taper or just a photographer. I'll up a photo of the original setlist tomorrow sometime for posterity sake.

Awesome Show! This was my 4th show in 7 months and I still have Nashville in the hopper for next month. It was fun to see and hear all the new folks seeing the band for the first time, even though I am still new to the scene myself. The cheers and applause really delighted the band when they took their final bow, it was nice to see them enjoy the approval from their new found fans!

Stop the Bus was out??? That's definitely one my favorite live songs! When they played it in Charlotte, the whole place gave them a huge round of cheers and applause after the rocking instrumental - even before the song was over. It was the crowd favorite. Search for the song on Youtube under Grace Potter Charlotte.
Can they just perform every song they've recorded or ever played in their life at every show?!? ;)
to quote tedhedone "oasis has reached stop the bus status" and he is definately right. that one has a face melting guitar part at the end as well and so its no surpise they slid that in for stb since oasis is a smokin hot new one right now. still fresh but a year in the hopper and now it has reached epic proportions. tiny light is another new one that has been evolving live and those two have been getting intertwined with very big parts of the show, a lot of times at the end like that. Covington looks smokin and i know the crowds out that way and in the southeast really go bannanas as jero621 and MarkC both eluded to. i must say up here in the northeast the audience is not nearly as loud. also looks like it did sell out so sounds like quite a party

I was in line early, and they did soundcheck Stop The Bus. Towards the end of Joey, Grace was on the organ, and she leaned over and shouted something to Matt on the drums. I assume that was the switch to Oasis.

Emma's story is exactly how I discovered GPN, and why I maintain that it will take more radio play to really get them to the next level.

So much music, so little bandwidth ......
this town Covington, Kentucky is completely under water right now. lets all hope it stops raining soon and these people can pick up the pieces and return to a "somewhat normal" way of life as soon as possible (easy for me to say...). i hope Grace and the Nocs can make it back there again soon and give em something to smile about. stay strong Covington!
Many are the weak
And the strong are few
But with the water
We'll start anew

Eric.. Thanks for the well wishes, but we are not completely under water.. The Ohio River is creepin' up and it is pretty soggy out there... But not under water. Grace, Kat and the guys will be here July 29th at PNC Pavilion (Cincinnati, OH) The venue is about 5 miles from Covington. I bought pre-sale Pit tickets last Friday and then got curious to see what reserved seats I could get too.. got front row almost center! LOL Guess I will be bringing a group to the show.
thats awesome i guess the news up here has really been showing the worst of it, not sure from exactly where and my attention span varies if im not at a really loud rock show...but they just kept saying "Covington Kentucky" over and OVER AGAIN-that i am sure of.
and Jero, we have more in common than i realized-we also have a PNC pavillion (in New Jersey), awesome venue, about the size of Jones Beach (10-15K) and i am not ruling out the Nocs playing any of those venues this summer!
front row center? grace ur face! cheers
