If the thunder don't get ya' then the lightning will!!!
The boys blew through Boston this weekend leaving no turn unstoned.
I caught Friday night's show and what a treat it was.
Strong playing, intimate venue, and RABID fans!
The blistered through covers, ballads and anthems to delight of three sold out houses.
Uncle Phil, driving the bus as usual, played better than ever. John and Jeff were both solid. I'm afraid the weak link was Bobby; feedback from his guitar during the first set, arythmic lead vocals and of course forgotten lyrics. (During Uncle John's Band, he totally dropped "It's the same story the crow told me..." all the way to "what I want to know is how does this song go".) Much to the amusement of the band.
Spoke with some of the boys who caught Saturday and they said it topped Friday, still haven't heard firsthand about Sunday but looking at the setlist leaves little doubt that it smoked.
Have fun in NYC!
See you in two weeks at HOB!
