Yeah, all these presales are really screwing over some fans. That same thing happened when my parents and I went to see Jethro Tull or Al Jarreau. My parents just surprised me with Paul McCartney...
I ended up with seats in the back of the front orchestra section, what about you, Markeb?
I'm happy to say I'll be attending this show. Got my tickets on the GPN presale this morning! Anyone else planning to go?
3/28 show is circulating. I'll put it up on the Archive when I get a chance.
Yay! It's great to see they kept so much of the broadcast. I was expecting just the few from the upcoming Daytrotter LP. Where's "Devil Train," though?
Tracklist for Side A of the Daytrotter LP:
1. Loneliest Soul
2. Timekeeper
3. Stars / Time Tease / On The Run Tease / The Lion The Beast The Beat / Paris (Oh La La)
It's nice enough, I...
I've been checking that site everyday. Doesn't look like there'll be a release. The official list will go up March 21 on recordstoreday.com. I don't expect to see any GPN, unfortunately.
Not sure about the whole time zone conversion thing so I'm probably too late but I just put in a request for "Getting in Tune" or "Bargain." They're in Who-ville after all.
Yeah, Wolf Trap's a really nice place to see a concert and still sort of has a "small venue" feel, so it's great for a GPN show. I hope I can make it but I'll probably be away from home in August. ...
I'm super happy to hear that GPN will be rocking the Filene Center at Wolftrap this summer. It's practically in my backyard. I hope scheduling works out as this'd be an awesome venue to see them in....
This could actually work. If my calculations are correct, GPN played about 1 hour's worth of music. That includes the several takes and run-throughs of various songs. I listened back to the show...
GPN have released some really great products for Record Store Day the past few years. Can we fans expect the same this year? ;)
They could bring back Getting In Tune in that case. I don't know if any early mod Who songs would work.
Thanks for recording! Hope you're having fun tonight.
The Sugar-like song may have been Put Your Head Down. Are you planning to see the show on the fourth, too?
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself (and captured it, too!) and that everything is good with the sound guy. Wish I could have been there, but it's a little out of the way.
I missed some songs the first time 'round...
TRUE final setlist:
Loneliest Soul
Timekeeper (x2)
Africa (2x)
Heart and Soul (Hoagy Carmichael)
Timekeeper (again)
Frankenstein (Edgar Winter...
I must be totally nuts cuz I actually really liked "Bathroom Break" and "Acoustic Lady Jam." It was also cool to hear the new songs 5+ times each. I'd never heard Belladonna before, either. What...
