There is a contest on GPNs Facebook page if anyone is goin to be in nyc on Monday afternoon/evening and wants to attend the filming of storytellers. and the new Facebook is kinda whakky. i dont think everyone sees the same thing when they go to a bands page. its geared toward you & your fb friends now...your posts/activity/history...and apparently also your location. so if you are outside NY, you might not see that post about Storytellers in NY. The same thing happened on Norah Jones' FB page (a couple of us are also going to her Storytellers filming which is this saturday)

Thanks for the update guys! I just sent in my request. I'd take the day off and catch the train. Keeping my fingers crossed! Even though I'm friended on their Facebook page, I didn't know about it. They didn't share the story, so I guess this is a lesson learned and I should check their Facebook page more often.

Very excited to see this show when it airs since we all know how much the format plays to the strengths of GPN.
Turns out for me that the best detail about the late audience ticket offering was the fact that it was impossible for me to attend. So, as much as I would have given anything or everything to be there, instead I was spared the angst of creating the "right" entry submission and then waiting for a response with guarded anticipation.
Going to celebrate the fact that a number of the good folks on these boards have reported making it into the taping, but really am sincerely hoping that more of those here who were ready and willing to drop everything and run to this special event were given the opportunity to do so - even if that does come off as a bit naive or Pollyanna-ish.
Eric - I sure hope we all get to see each other there! Let me know if you hear anything too. My cell is broken - I can get phone calls but the bulb doesn't light up and I can't see text messages (yeah - I know, time for a new phone). If they send confirmation by text, I could be screwed!
Hope is fading now after 5 pm and the promoters probably went home for the weekend.... so if any of you who have a ticket in and can't find a friend who can take off from work on Monday, please use me as your friend - drinks on me!

If VH-1 posted the offer on the 20th and GPN FB posted on 25th, I wonder if it wasn't already filled up by then? Damn.
Very, very special stage presentation that night. consider my soul officially scratched after hearing some of the stories. Def. worth the wait.
