GPN just announced a 9/12/10 show at Ridgefield Playhouse on Facebook. It says tix are on sale, but Ridgefield's website doesn't appear to have them available yet. Hopefully soon!

i got mine an hour ago and got 6th row center orchastra
Thanks for the link, Eric. Just got my ticket. Funny, I took the day off work today to go to the Gathering of the Vibes, and then decided as I was walking out the door that I'd better not go because I might need the money for something more important - apparently this is what it was.![]()
Got me thinking if they may have another New England gig in them for 9/13....HOB is open.....also noticed Blondie is there on 9/12...might have to check that one out!!

Been hoping the same thing, Wally. As I mentioned in another thread, I'm watching for Infinity Hall which also has 9/13 and 9/15 open. Both HOB and Infinity Hall would be even better. Add Hampton Beach and I'd really be happy ... broke, but happy.
Geesh did you guys ever rent a mule? :-) A show on the 13 would give them 6 shows in 6 days, 5 headlining, ending with two big gigs at Harvest Festival following Derek/Susan. I'm sure they want some fuel in the tank for those two shows... They are already scheduled for 14,15, 16th of Sep.

Sweet!! a full show in CT. I saw the last 2 shows at the Infinity. They were AWSOME. The Ridgefield Playhouse should be good. Thanks for the heads up.
Where's the Harvest festival with Derek/Susan?
Looks like 6 and 7 rows are presale seats through the band site. Does the band profit more from these sales? If so, I'll get tickets now. The tickets are not available on the Ridgefield Playhouse site yet. I've got better seats directly in year's past. At least fans will be together in the center isle. Should I wait? Therein lies the dilemma!
that festival is in canada during the week.
if u can get tix in the first ten rows thru the site right now its prob a good move, especially in the center section. thats about as good as u can ask for, im pretty sure. if your right on top of the box office after that and score first couple rows, which is partially just luck, it might be worth grabbing those too and dealing with the extras later if u want to be right up front. my guess is they try to take care of the fans such as those on this forum as much as they can in the online "pre sale" thru the website
the link i originally posted is off of this GPN website, clikc on "shows" above...9-12..."buy tix"...
profits 4 the band r equal or within pennies vs. box office or whatever, although service charges will vary by a few bucks on your end

a friend from Connecticut last night told me that the Ridgefield Playhouse is in a tiny little town, is about the size of a high school auditorium, seats possibly as few as maybe 500 people, and shares a parking lot with the local police station next door.
yeah?
Eric - That sounds about right, yes. Bring your GPS.
I've been lucky enough to see two shows at the playhouse, but will have to miss this one - being on a Sunday just doesn't work for me this time around. The first few rows are usually reserved for Gold Circle members - that's how I've snagged front row seats in the past - but to be honest - after the first 5-6 songs, Grace gets antsy to have people up on the rail and dancing, and security will allow it if the band wants it, so chances are if you are in the front of the house, you can get to the rail at some point. The venue does run as theater seating with a kind of night club element - there is bar service is the lobby, you can take your drinks to your seats and as I said security will allow you to get up front and dance at the rail, at least that is how it's been in the past, as it's been with the band's blessing.
Have fun everyone - and I know I can count on you to come on back and tell us all about it!
Oh yes - and Jackie is right - bring the GPS - this is not a main street venue per se, but a part of the town municipal buildings and kind of down around the back - it's got a cool history and I think this kind of reincarnation of town space as a vehicle for arts and entertainment is a venerable New England way of multi tasking!

Ha! Love it! I wondered what this affliction was called. My GPS sometimes flares up so much that I actually contemplate selling my house and using the money to go to more GPN shows. Seems perfectly rational at times.
Back to Ridgefield Playhouse, beware of some obstructed view seats in the front row of orchestra left and I think also orchestra right. Ridgefield's site has a warning about which ones they are on the seating chart when you go to buy them - or did back in March. I thought I could deal with it when I bought an obstructed view seat, but it really was pretty bad so I ended up standing in the back of the venue until the crowd eventually stood up and seat location became a non-issue.
