I made a last minute decision last wednesday to go see dawes in winston salem, and I'm so glad I did...y'all weren't kidding! Best non gpn show I've seen this year. They played a great mix of old stuff and songs from their new album, did a smokin' Little Feat cover with Griffin on lead vocals, andthrew in Lawyers guns and money in the encore! I got a chance to talk to Taylor about his guitars after the show, and he said the acoustic he is playing now is on loan from Jackson Browne! If you get a chance, definitely go see them live!
nice Jules! happy u hit that. they did the Little Feat cover at the Mercury Lounge too- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMDo0b8kWWE

"Songs take a message directly to your heart. When you can't speak for yourself, sometimes a song can say something in three minutes that you've been trying to say all your life."

Thank u very much for posting this JJ. I checked the forum as I was walking onto an airplane, moments after your post...and caught the very epic "a little bit of everything" and the new tune "from a window seat" (appropriately enough). Streamed it all on my i-phone for about 15 minutes sitting there on the plane. The timing could not have been more perfect.

Caught a link (via TFN - thanks) of the WXPN 40 minute set earlier today. Excited to hear these guys on Thursday at Pure Pop. Not sure how they're going to get 50 listeners in there too, but didn't want to pass up the chance.
Leaving for Bull Moose in Maine now. Here is a link to the set in NYC two days ago.
