Chamberlin is playing up here in the north Maine woods tonight for the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest. One of the guys took this photo very early this morning from Kired's balloon.

There may be a new item added to their future show riders.![]()
"Songs take a message directly to your heart. When you can't speak for yourself, sometimes a song can say something in three minutes that you've been trying to say all your life."

Can't believe I forgot to post this here earlier ...
Chamberlin's new EP was released on Tuesday (9/4) and is featured on Spinner all this week (thru Sunday night) .. listen here
Spot on review at Seven Days ... Chamberlin, Look What I've Become
After you get done reading and listening, go to http://www.chamberlinband.com/ and buy the EP pleaseI’ll admit it: I really want to not like Chamberlin. It’s nothing personal. I’m sure they’re really nice guys and all. And far be it from me to begrudge anyone success. But, come on, their story is so annoyingly improbable, it’s hard not view them with at least a little bit of (admittedly jealous) skepticism. To recap…
Four virtually unknown dudes hole up in a rural Vermont cabin to record a demo. Scott Tournet, guitarist for Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, somehow gets hold of said demo and goes appropriately apeshit. .......![]()

Email from Chamberlin today. You could probably sign up for their emails here: http://www.facebook.com/chamberlinband Luckily I signed up pre-Facebook.
We're writing this to you from one of the most beautiful places on earth. No, we're not talking about Mitt Romney's ocean front home in La Jolla…or his lake front home in Wolfeboro…or his mountain home in Park City…or his home in Belmont for that matter. We're of course talking about that magical, mystical area somewhere between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Let's call it "Pittscleve", that sounds pretty.
Anyway, we have a free song for you and according to Mitt, 47% of you like free hand outs, so please enjoy. It's a remix of our song "Thief" by Rubblebucket , one of our favorite artists!!!! This is the first time we've had someone remix one of our songs, and we couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out! They even wrote a new verse which their front-lady Kalmia sings!
Songs feel like children sometimes…we conceive them and give birth to them so that they can develop a life of their own and in turn the world can enjoy them (or let's be real, potentially hate them, some children are horrible). Remixes are in some ways the musical juxtaposition of nature vs. nurture. On this remix we still gave birth to "Thief" but in this case we got to watch what happened when other parents raised it. What we've learned is there is clearly more than one way to raise a child. RCRD LBL described theirs as "chiffon swirl, tinkling bell crescendo and a surprisingly heartfelt verse by frontwoman Kalmia" and our version as "an angelic march reminiscent of a brawnier Fleet Foxes". Pretty neat.
If you want to remix "Thief" yourself, you can download the stems here! Send us your version of the song and we'll help share it too.
In other news, Part 2 of our "Above the Valleys" film is out and this time its for the song "Maryland." *
Tour dates are below - this week we've got Pittsburgh, Philly, Boston, NYC and DC...hope to see you soon.
Love,
Chamberlin
Love indeed. Sadly, however, Waterstreet NY is not on the tour list this time.
* Part 1 of Above the Valleys here
